Artist’s Statement:

As a student of life, I find art to be the path that leads me into learning and growth. Creating an interpretation of a view on whatever medium or manner I chose is most exciting. The real world can be revealed or portayed by experimenting with different subject matter, media and techniques in fashioning visual ideas that unfold. It is the artist’s inner self that defines this. The ability to express at a deep emotional level determines and defines ones capabilities to reach out to the viewer.

When I paint it’s like I am dancing with the work, and I’m not always leading. A good painting comes from sources outside of the artist. It is fascinating to see contrasting shapes and colors come alive under the brush, becoming something new and exciting that can be shared with others. This is the reason of ‘why’ I paint.
