What Is a Giclée Print?

About the Giglée on Canvas

We offer the highest quality Giclée (pronounced zshee-clay) art prints on canvas which truly creates the look and feel of the original painting through the use of a unique process currently being embraced by artists and galleries worldwide. These quality prints do not require glass for framing like the paper prints.

About the Giglée on Paper

The same process to create a fine art print on canvas is used to create a giclée print on high quality archival paper. We recommend these prints be framed under glass.

Each print is signed and numbered with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Giclée print is a French term, meaning spray of ink. The giclée printing process is enhanced by light-speed digital printers, which have been specifically modified to achieve fine art precision. A print, once completed, is comprised of almost 20 billion droplets of ink. In this process, only the best archival water based organic inks are used. The results are museum-quality prints. Giclée prints have an impressive exhibition record. They have been shown in the following museums and galleries thoughout the world: Metropolitan Museum of Art — New York, British Art Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporay Art, and the Washington Post Collection.
