Glorianne Michels studied at the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis School of Art and Design where she received two scholarships. She has traveled and studied extensively in Europe, Central and South America, Australia, Asia, and the Mediterranean. Memberships include several art associations where she is a juried member of the following: The Arizona Watercolor Association, Contemporary Watercolorist of Arizona and The Arizona Artist Guild.

Glorianne as teacher.

From 1970 to 1990 she exhibited and taught porcelain art workshops for students and teachers in 24 states and 8 foreign countries. Glorianne is the author of the published art book, “Color for the Porcelain Artist.” From 1993 to the present, she has taught in watercolor and mixed media in her studio.

In recent years, her work has evolved into a natural distinctive look, beyond the subject matter. She has exhibited in shows and galleries in and around the Phoenix area. Her work in watercolor and mixed media has earned her top awards in local and national juried exhibitions.
